The GY-302 BH1750 Ambient Light Intensity Sensor Module is a high-precision, digital light sensor designed to measure illuminance in Lux. Powered by the advanced BH1750FVI integrated circuit, this module provides direct digital output via the I2C interface, eliminating the need for complex analog-to-digital conversions. Unlike traditional Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs), the BH1750 is highly accurate, unaffected by ambient temperature, and responds to a wide range of light sources, closely mimicking the spectral response of the human eye.
This compact sensor is perfect for smart lighting systems, automatic screen brightness adjustments, solar tracking systems, and agricultural monitoring setups. It features an onboard voltage regulator, making it fully compatible with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers, including Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, and Raspberry Pi. With its adjustable measurement modes, it can detect light levels ranging from 1 to 65,535 Lux, providing reliable data for your IoT and automation projects.
Features:
- Direct Lux Output: Provides direct digital output in Lux (lx) without requiring external calibration.
- Wide Measurement Range: Detects ambient light levels from 1 to 65,535 lx, suitable for low-light and bright environments.
- I2C Interface: Easy communication with microcontrollers using standard I2C protocol pins (SDA, SCL).
- Human Eye Spectral Response: Peak sensitivity matches the human eye's visual perception of light.
- Onboard Voltage Regulator: Safe to operate with both 3.3V and 5V logic levels.
- Configurable I2C Address: The ADDR pin allows you to change the I2C address to connect multiple sensors to the same bus.
