The TOF050C VL6180X Laser ToF Distance Sensor Module is a highly accurate, short-range distance sensor based on advanced Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology. Unlike traditional infrared sensors that rely on reflected light intensity, this module measures the precise time it takes for light to travel to the target and back. This allows for absolute distance measurements up to 50 cm, completely independent of the target's color, reflectance, or surface texture.

Equipped with an onboard 850nm VCSEL vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser and a standard I2C (IIC) interface, the TOF050C is incredibly easy to interface with popular microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi. With an ultra-compact footprint of just 20mm x 11mm and a tiny blind zone of 0 to 2 cm, it is the perfect choice for high-precision obstacle detection, gesture recognition, robotics, and smart home automation projects.
